So today was my first day back to work after being on maternity leave for 3 months. I got to say on one hand I miss being with KJ but then I like being able to knit at lunch time with no interruptions. Although the fact that I have to pump breast milk 3 times a day while sitting in the ladies restroom leaves alot to be desired.
So alot has happened besides going to work. Last week I was in St. Croix for my sisters wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and the resort was gorgeous. See:

This was the view from my enclosed porch...
KJ and I just laying on the beach...

This happens to be the largest pool on the island...

This is my bouquet from my sisters wedding. I call it the aftermath...

I even got to do a little knitting...
Suffice to say I enjoyed every bit of my mini vacation. I wish I didn't have to come back.
Before I left on my trip a couple of packages arrived in the mail for me. I had joined the Yarn Pirate Sock yarn club a while ago and the 1st package came. Yay!!!
also I bought a new project bag from Scouts Swag:
and I making progress on my Tilted Duster (Ravelry link here). This is the start of the second sleeve. In fact this is what I did at lunch time. I hope to start the skirt part this weekend.
So that is was is going on with me now. Now I got to go KJ is waking up to nurse. Goodnight.
Okay, it feels like someone does not want me to have the Yarn Harlots latest book; Things I Learned from Knitting (Whether I Wanted to or Not) I have been to 2 stores and I can't get. I hope I will get it before I leave for my sisters wedding next Tuesday!
Ahh!!!! I am going back to work soon and I am not ready to leave my baby. Why! Just a couple of more weeks. She is still so little...so adorable...too adorable to leave. See:
That beautiful hat was knit by Tomo! I don't believe she has a blog! Thanks Tomo!
Anyway on to knitting. I making mucho progress on the Tilted Duster (Rav link).
I finished the back and the 2 fronts. Currently I am on the sleeves. Unfortunately the my Knitpicks cables have broken. I need to buy some crazy glue to fix them. So i have been forced to used my denise needles.

.
Anyway I love how this is coming out. Hopefully the skirt and collar will go just as fast. I'm off. Got to start packing for an upcoming trip! Were (meaning KJ and I and the rest of my family are going to St Croix) Its for my sisters wedding but is still a vacation. Bye!
So guess who cast on for a new project yesterday afternoon, after her yarn arrived...me:
The yarn is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes, the color is Hollyberry and I love it.
I even did a swatch, well this is actually the second swatch. The first one I used the wrong needles. So I took it out and knit the swatch with US 10's.
The gauge was right on so I cast on for the back:
This was taken yesterday when I had just cast on the back. I am currently finshed with back and now I am knitting the fronts. The pattern is knitting up way fast. I am so excited. i am glad that I chose this pattern and this yarn. I bought 12 skeins of Knit Picks yarn for 24 dollars plus shipping. I LOVE IT. Anyway I am off to knit some more while KJ is knocked out. I leave you with this:
