and the Knitting goes on....

So hi, It is 3:00 am and I am wide awake. Not because I want to be, but KJ has her 1st fever and I can't sleep although she is knocked out. No crying Thank God. I think she will be fine. I will check again in the morning (although technically it is) So I will take this opportunity to blog.

ETA: KJ is on the mend. Fever is gone, Yay!!! But she has a perforated ear infection due to the cold (meaning congested nose) Boo!!! But she is doing better. I am so relieved.

Somehow my plain vanilla socks has taken hold of me (not to mention the heat wave we are currently experiencing here in NYC does not allow for knitting anything else.) I have been knitting feverishly (no pun intended) on these socks all week.

I love, love, love the colors of these socks and can't wait to finish them. This is how I spend my lunch time at work, I eat, then read and knit. Perfect...

This was the progress as of yesterday. I am past the heels! Notice 1 of my new Piddly project bags, made by the girls of Piddleloop.com.

Can I just say I am a BIG fan of these girls. I have multiple bags and can see myself get more in the future. Okay KJ is up now and calling  so I will just leave you with a pic of 1 of my new glasses. BTW I think this is my new favorite self portrait.

JOB TITLE: Staff Analyst at a major transportation center.

KIDS: 1, my beautiful KJ.

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: Temporarily sharing an apartment with my sister and her new husband. (But soon it will be all mine. Yay!!!)

MOST ADMIRABLE TRAIT: Umm....I am a laid back individual. I don't let anything faze me.

NAUGHTIEST CHILDHOOD BEHAVIOR: Umm don't tell anybody but I used to take money from my mom.

OVERNIGHT HOSPITAL STAY: There was only 2 times I have ever stayed overnight in a hospital. One, was when I was a child. When I was a baby my belly button never closed up properly so I had a hernia and had surgery and then when KJ was born, I ended up having a C-Section and stayed 3 days in the hospital.

PHOBIAS: I don't have any phobias but i don't like mice, roaches or any little bugs, and I don't like worms.

REASON TO SMILE: I am alive, I have a family that loves me, a home and I have job. How could I not smile.

SIBLINGS: 2 Sisters and 1 Brother

TIME I WAKE UP: Depends on when KJ gets up, but pre KJ I used to get up at 5:30.

UNUSUAL SKILL OR TALENT: I don't really have an unusual talent or skill.

VEGETABLE I REFUSE TO EAT: Tomatoes, I can't stand tomatoes.

WORST HABIT: I have this nervous twitch in my leg. Where I just shake/bounce that leg without even realizing it.

YUMMY STUFF: I love green apple, or anything sour.

ZOO ANIMAL I LIKE MOST: I don't really have one, just off the top of my head.

Just a quick drive by post! KJ is sleeping and it is time for me to get some sleep. But I've been knitting:

Already One Month...Wow! (Warning Photo Intensive post!)

It is sad to say that it has been almost a month since I last blogged. But here I am. I have been blogging in my head but when it comes to putting down on 'paper' it was a no go. I was too busy enjoying the good weather with this little one, as evidenced by these pictures:

But fear not. I have been knitting and buying. Oh boy have I have I been buying. I lot's of yarn to show. Starting with  Sirdar Baby Bamboo:

and then Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn bought from the Loopy Ewe:

and then Cascade Ecological Wool in natural oatmeal color:

I also got some Socks that Rock Lightweight. The colors are Storytime, Firebird, and Banded Agate. They are gorgeous.

oh I also got some Yarn Pirate yarn in addtiion to the Sock club yarn, which is included in the picture:

That is a whole lot of yarn. I think I have been on a binge. Time to go on a diet!
