So, I finished my Sockapalooza pals sock. I actually finished it last Sunday but am only now getting a chance to post about it it. It has been a very hectic week at work. I would come home so tired and not be able to any thing on the computer related to blogging. But it is done. I like it very much.
Here are the Project notes:
Pattern: Cascading Leaves by Jeanie Townsend
Needles: US 1
Method: 1 sock on 2 circs
Yarn: Koigu's KPPM in a variegated colorway ( The main colors are purple, blue and greens.) Actually when I saw this in the store I didn't realize there was so much green in it. I hope my pal still lkes it.
The only thing I did didn't from the pattern, was to make the leg a little longer. So I did 7 repeats instead of 5.
I would definitely knit this sock again. In fact I did, here it is :
Excuse the ash-yness of my legs.
It is such a fun and easy pattern to do. It did not take me long to memorize the pattern.
The other sock that I have been knitting is my entry for Red Hot Sizzling Socks. I have made progress on it since the last picture. In fact I turned the heel and picked up stitches and am now knitting the gusset. I will post a picture later.
One more thing, I recently joined another knitalong. The The Sock Yarn Addict Club, I found it at just the right time as earlier in the day I was thinking to my self how I needed to go on a yarn diet (sock yarn diet) because I recently bought a alot! of new yarn. I was surfing the net and some how came across this club, and immediately joined in. It starts April !st, which gave me adequate time to supplement my stash as I plan on not buying any more yarn until after my birthday, which is July 17th. So here is what I picked up:
The yarns on the right I got from my favorite yarn store in NYC, Seaport Yarn , these were new yarn that they recently got in. I couldn't make up my mind on which I like best, so I got all three of them. The yarns on the left, I got yesterday. A new yarn store opened up in the city, called Knitty City , there was an arcticle in the free newspaper that I read. So I decided to take a trip to the Upper Westside to see it. I was glad I did because they had some beautiful yarns from the Regia Selection. As you can see a few of them made their way home with me. I would definitely go back to that store even though it is so far from me. It is not cluttered like some stores and has a bright, welcoming environment. It even had a nice range of yarns. Well done.
So that is it for today. I do have more to post about but I am waiting for a new aquisition to come before I post about it. So until next time fellow knitbloggers.

I'm finally getting around to responding to some of my comments (bad blogger, I know) - and I'm so happy to find your blog. Clearly we travel in the same (sock knitting) circles, what with counting our socks and the sock yarn addicts club. I'm sure we'll be seeing a bit of each other!
