So, I have been blessed to find the best knitter friends ever..... All of these gals I met throught Sit'n Knit NYC. and yesterday they gave me a baby shower. Thank you Penelope for Hosting this wonderful shouwer. Thank you Anne-Marie, Allena, Tina, Judy, Shameka and thank you blogless Tomo for the gift (even though you couldn't be there). I had and awesome time hanging out with guys yesterday. So we met up at Stan's Place for brunch and the shower. It just so happened I was the 1st person to show up with Penelope close behind, we got our table and she puts out these cute little favors:
It turned out to be little gifts for everyone. On the backside side of each card was a little game for everyone to play, where we had to match the meaning of our name. Very cool. Let me just say this place has delicious food, omg the Beignet's are to die for and with the hot chocolate w/vanilla and whip cream, I was in heaven. Breakfast was great, the company was great here are a few shots from the day. ( I am opening the gifts in these shots)
and just so you can see the baby clothes better:
Thank you Tina!
Thank you Judy!
and yes there are 2 gifts missing but those will be shown at a later date. After we chatted and knit for bit. (Actually we were at the restaurant from 11 - 2:30 maybe) we walked to Knit Away and fondled yarn, to a walk to Brooklyn Beads and looked at the beautiful beads. Along the way we did stop at a couple of baby stores, which was cool. The last place we went to was Brooklyn General where we fondled more yarn and a few purchases were made (not by me). But we had a lot of fun that day. I was exhausted by the time I got home.
So I have been knitting and here is just a little peak of whats on my needles:
After seeing Tina's thrum mittens, I just knew I had to knit a pair for my self and they are so warm and soft when I stuck my fingers in them. The fiber I am using is some merino fiber I got from the Yarn Tree.
and after seeing Rosi-G's morning glory shawl at Rhinebeck I had to knit that too. I am actually much further than this but I don't have any other photos. It was going fine until I got to the morning glories, so the shawl is on time out.
There are some other WIP's on the needles so stay tuned for updates on those projects.
I'm off to put my feet up and relax for a minute as KJ is kicking up a storm right now. I can't believe there is only 2 and a half months left until she gets there. Wow!
Bye.......

Wow, looks like you had fun. You racked up some good stuff for the baby. Sorry I couldn't be there.
